buildee joins hundreds of other companies, cities, and municipalities for the annual national Energy Efficiency Day event urging everyone to “Save Money. Cut Pollution. Create Jobs.”

In recognition of national Energy Efficiency Day (#EEDay2023) on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, buildee is joining regional and national organizations, businesses, utilities, universities, and individuals in promoting energy efficiency – the cheapest, quickest way to meet our energy needs, cut utility bills, and reduce pollution.

Energy Efficiency Day shines light on the many advantages of adopting efficient measures and  behaviors that enable you to save money, reduce pollution, and create jobs. By participating in #EEDay2023 on October 4th, we highlight how individuals can take small steps that add up to lasting comfort, better health, and lower energy costs.

How does energy efficiency lead to cleaner air? When we prevent energy waste, we also avoid the need to generate more power produced from fossil fuels to meet our needs, as well as the climate-warming pollution that accompany it. Using less energy enables us to stretch the electricity produced from emissions-free sources, such as wind and solar, further to keep our homes comfortable and businesses operating.

Energy efficiency is also an economic engine, amassing a U.S. workforce of nearly 2.4 million by the beginning of this year. Ranging from professional services to manufacturing, installation, and construction, these good jobs are local and cannot be outsourced.

"Energy Efficiency is key in the fight to lower Greenhouse Gas and Carbon Emissions and needs to be promoted in residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial buildings" said Bryan Conklin, CEO & President of buildee

Smarter energy use means we don’t have to generate as much power to meet our needs. buildee has already made significant, forward-thinking investments in energy savings by increasing access to the buildee software platform which is used to identify energy efficient strategic energy retrofits in buildings and portfolios of buildings, benefiting tenants as well as the cities that house these buildings.

buildee is working with cities, utilities and private portfolio owners to find meaningful energy and emissions reductions in their buildings. The buildee Platform is used to set, track, and achieve energy, decarbonization, and cost reduction targets. buildee® is the software tool that empowers  organizations to define a clear, actionable, capital project path to meet sustainability targets, comply with local Building Performance Standards, and drive dollar savings to the bottom line.

buildee® guides the capital planning and master energy planning process by prioritizing energy projects, analyzing savings opportunities, and providing instant reports and digital tools/dashboards across all stakeholders in your energy savings and decarbonization process. Rapidly prioritize projects using any number of key value-metrics like kWh/Btu reduction, eliminated carbon emissions, absolute dollar savings, compliance fines avoided, and other cash flow and financial metrics.

Reducing the energy used by manufacturers, homes, and businesses benefits everyone – especially energy bill-payers. The average household saves almost $500 yearly thanks to efficiency standards that apply to new appliances such as dishwashers, refrigerators and water heaters, alone.
