buildee to Celebrate Energy Efficiency Day 2019
4th annual national event urging everyone to "Save Money. Cut Carbon. Breathe Easier"
In recognition of the 4th annual national Energy Efficiency Day (EE Day) on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, buildee is joining regional and national organizations, businesses, utilities, universities, and individuals in promoting energy efficiency – the cheapest, quickest way to meet our energy needs, cut utility bills, and reduce pollution.
Energy efficiency is also an economic engine, with a U.S. workforce of more than 2.3 million. Ranging from professional services to manufacturing and construction, these good jobs are local and cannot be outsourced. Energy Efficiency could also meet 1/3 of our expected electricity generation needs by 2030.
"As buildings and homes consume 40% of all energy in the U.S. and produce 70% of all greenhouse gas emissions in cities, energy efficiency will be essential to cutting emissions quickly and affordably. Reducing energy use through energy efficiency lowers the cost of reaching 100% carbon-free power and makes that goal easier to achieve", said Oliver Davis, CEO of buildee.
Reducing the energy used by manufacturers, homes, and businesses benefits everyone – especially energy bill-payers. The average household saves almost $500 yearly thanks to efficiency standards that apply to new appliances such as dishwashers, refrigerators and water heaters.
buildee contributes to energy efficiency by identifying and prioritizing energy efficiency investments in commercial, industrial, small business, and multifamily buildings. buildee enables buildings to reduce operating expense and greenhouse gas emissions by using intelligent data and software.
On Energy Efficiency Day 2019 buildee is encouraging everyone to find an energy efficiency project in their home or building. Not only will this help you be a steward for positive environmental change but you will also reduce your energy usage and bills while adding value to your building or portfolio.
