Energy Efficiency in the U.S. - Creating Jobs Across the Economy

May 30, 2017

The energy efficient economy drives more jobs than natural gas and coal, all while improving the quality of our work environment and the air we breathe. With employment across several sectors of the economy including manufacturing, distribution, services and retail, the conversation should be apolitical...more jobs, more savings, better environment.

10X more jobs than oil and natural gas drilling, 30X more jobs than coal mining according to the NRDC. And, the opportunity remains massive with continued growth....the low hanging fruit/lighting retrofits have constituted the majority of energy efficiency projects to date. With new software applications and products, there is opportunity for smaller firms across EE disciplines to identify and capture greater share of wallet. With collaboration and new tools, lighting firms or MEP firms can service an entire building, drive project conversion and growth.
