# Webinar Recording: Accelerating Decarbonization: Insights from NYC EDC

#### Navigating Challenges with Innovation

Compliance with New York City’s stringent energy regulations, such as Local Law 97, presents a daunting challenge. NYC EDC is required to meet benchmarking standards and conduct audits while optimizing energy use and capital investments. To address these demands, NYC EDC adopted buildee as a key tool in standardizing asset tracking, consolidating utility data, and streamlining capital planning processes.
